Review of The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949) by Colin L — 22 Apr 2014
Two classic stories with dark undertones for the price of one. Based off the stories of The Wind of the Willows & Sleepy Hollow, thanks to Disney's animation brings to life the fun out of tales.
The only minor gripe that springs to mind is the pacing, though certainly more improved upon the previous story based films with songs. The characters in The Wind of the Willows are ecstatic to be around, the atmosphere of Sleepy Hollow can still be felt with the Headless Horseman through the forest.
By all means certainly stands out more so compared to the failed attempts of Fantasia films during the 1940s.
