Review of The Adventures of Ford Fairlane (1990) by Lance R — 04 Jul 2008
The Dice Man is his usual self in this questionable classic.
I won't try to defend the films negative qualities, Its really a fun film because its the only one of its kind. No other film that I'm aware of is like this to this degree. Its a good mix of film noir, action, comedy and satire.
Its about a guy [Dice Man] who is a Private Investigator specializing in Rock N Roll crimes. One night a musician dies and a wild investigative case is opened by him and the police. The police detective is played by Ed O'neal. Ed is hilarious. For me not many filmmakers are willing to make a comedy about the exxcess of rock stars so I thought this had some validity.
I like odd films, Sometimes I go for who is in the film or who made it or who produced it. this one was for who was in it. Dice Man, Ed O'Niel, Pracilla Pressly, Vince Niel, Gilbert Godfrey, Wayne Newton, Robert Englund, You can't ask for a better cast.
