Review of The Adventures of Ford Fairlane (1990) by Zane T — 24 Apr 2010
Twenty years later, this movie is funnier when you realize that all the crappy cop/detective movies that came after it went any better and all the 1980's buddy's cop movies were rather lame. Andrew Dice Clay may have been a one joke comic who could pride himself on selling out Madison Square Gardens for two nights, but he couldn't appease the credits or the feminists who didn't understand his humor.
Let's just say, nowadays, this would get a PG-13 rating if you took out all the F-words. Dice plays a cop who gets caught up in a murder investigation. It has good moments and a few memorable lines.
