Review of The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988) by Peter B — 27 Oct 2009
Some amazingly creative imagination and technically brilliant - the whole thing looks fantastic. Yet as always with me and most gilliam halfway thru my interest began to dwindle. He is a true original director no doubt in my brain but for me I find his films dont rise and fall as good films do.
Theres a constant moving along feel thats fine in short bursts but it fails to keep the attention. A lack engaging plot means I start to daydream and I wish I didnt but I always start gilliam films loving them but by the end feeling like it didnt really go anywhere.
