Terry Gilliam's Baron von Munchausen pits the forces of imagination against those of reality. The theme is even echo'd in the Baron's trip to see the king of the moon, who's head is battling against his body.
The genius of the film permeates every frame. Grand (and flawless) sets and costumes for this 18th century period fantasy and Michael Kamen's score (with a little help from Eric Idle) helps carry you along into a whimsical world where fantasy always prevails.
It's one of those films that gets better every time you see it.
