Review of The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988) by Existen Z — 03 Oct 2008

This is an absolutely delightful movie. Rarely are the fantastic and ridiculous portions of cartoons attempted in movies. The silly parts of this movie are very endearing and funny. The movie is creative in it's presentation and method of displaying some of the odder moments which kept me focused on the story.

The acting gets the job done and kudos to Terry Gilliam for handling such a unique story the way he did without letting any part become out of place. Most impressive for me was how it was both a fun movie and an absurd critique of the modernist projects of science and rationality.
