Review of The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988) by Sanity Assassin ! — 01 Mar 2012
This is Terry Gillian's masterpiece and my most favourite comedy adventure film ever. In this the notorious liar is done justice in a classic movie of great characters, great set design and swimming pools of imagination, it is beautiful just to watch.
The comedy is top notch and the dialogue witty. In this, the Baron has to save Vienna from the Turks, which leads him on an amazing adventure that involves flying on a cannonball to sailing to the moon.
This stars acting greats such as Robin Williams, Eric Idle and the late John Neville. The best thing Terry Gillian has done and he has not been able to better this.
