Review of The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother (1975) by Ttt C — 17 Jul 2010
So I'm pretty sure this catches me up completely. Though, in a few minutes, after I've already posted it, I'll think of some movie I watched a month ago but forgot to review. Oh well.
Sherlock Holmes Smarter Brother. So this girl at work told me how great this was. I really love Young Frankenstein so she said I would enjoy it. She loaned me her VHS but it was used so much I couldn't understand what they were saying. But I had already watched and understood what I could of the first 30 minutes and really enjoyed it. However, I was a little confused about the plot becasue of what I wasn't getting. Oh no. What do I do? Oh. Wait. I forgot. I have Netflix. So I outsmarted the VHS and watched the much better DVD. The movie was excellent. I haven't laughed that much since, well, probably Yound Frankenstein. Thank you Netflix, and the girl at work.
Elizabeth. I love Cate Blanchett. She is incredible. And I also love historical dramas. And it seems strange to me that I gave it a 10, but I can't think of any reason it should have less. Now I'm excited about the sequel coming out next year.
Jackie Brown. Tarantino, you are complete. I have now seen all of your movies. Personally, this was my least favorite. Mainly because I was expecting the whole screwed up filming sequences from his others. Nonetheless, it was still good.
Basic Instinct. So I tried to watch this one before the sequel but I didn't get to it in time. And the sequel has a lot to live up to, which I hear it doesn't. But this was pretty amazing. I watched it twice in one day. And now I know when everyone talks about the crotch scene. Oh Sharon Stone, how I love thee.
