Review of The Addams Family (2019) by Youngerreviewer — 02 Nov 2019
I went into this not watching the tv show or the 90's films, just knowing it was about a haunted family. In that sense it was a decent movie getting to know the strange family and how they interacted with the outside world.
The animation is spot on I think and every character in the Adams family is unique however some models of children from the town are not brilliant and look unfinished. The plot was not a selling point but holds up pretty well since that's not the main concern of an Addams Family film.
The comedy is quite cheap and most of the time it doesn't get any laughs which is a shake because it is meant to be a comedy. What I liked is how they established the family and the rivalry with the outside world and built on that.
All the characters interact nicely with each other and the main character Wednseday is probably the best in the movie. Definitely not a must see buy if your new to Addams Family or like animation it's a mangaeble movie.
Don't know how this holds up with the other TV series or movies.
