Review of The Addams Family (1991) by Andreas O — 16 May 2011
As a huge fan of the original tv-series, I both adore and dislike this. It's down to casting and design choices, really. While Raul Julia is perfect in his role, and the kids are both great, I have a hard time accepting Anjelica Huston as Morticia.
Also, I feel they really missed the point with Lurch. On a whole, it's an entertaining horror comedy and a faithful wink to the original, and as such I love it.
