Review of The Addams Family (1991) by Dann M — 05 Jul 2014

Perfectly cast, well made movie of a TV show where the only joke was "they're weird". There aren't any standout jokes, but Raul Julia, Anjelica Huston, and Christina Ricci are each so hilariously entertaining with their deliveries that you can forgive the uninspired screenplay.

I was finding some of the more hilarious parts some of the throwaway lines like, "It's terrible when you stutter," and "Are they made of real girl scouts?" This isn't a comedy masterpiece that will have you laughing from beginning to end, but it is a highly entertaining film starring a highly entertaining cast that is treating it seriously, but having fun as well.

It's a fun movie to watch.
