Review of The Act of Killing (2012) by John R — 05 Jan 2014
Mind boggling and emotionally heavy, this film goes beyond remembering the anti-communist and anti-Chinese politics of Suharto's "New Order". It leads you to the edge of a war criminal's emotions starting with pride but ends with incredible regret of his past.
While included in every list of top 10 documentaries of 2013, this is not for the faint of heart.
