Review of The Acid House (1998) by Dave R — 28 Apr 2012
Riding off "trainspotting" success this series of short stories by irvine welsh somehow managed to get made. I didn't find any of them all that interesting really: the first story is essentially lifted from the bible - book of job - but end with a kafka twist (or is it "the fly"?); the second is about a pathetic guy who can't seem to grow a pair of balls and dump his whore of a wife; and the third is just a drug version of all those trading places films: "big", "freaky friday", etc.
.. nothing original.
