This is one of my all time favorite action movies. Frankly I think this would make an excellent TV series as I love the setup. It's certainly a franchise and I hope we get more of these movies in the future. It's not a mindless action movie and I think has a lot of heart and a certain degree of depth. The action though is where this movie shines! It's not full of action throughout the movie but when a fight breaks out, you know it. Outstanding fight choreography and camera work make the action exciting without causing disorientation like the Bourne movies.
The critics are just flat out wrong for not liking this movie. I can only assume they were comparing this movie to Oscar bait and found it lacking.
