A very solid movie overall, in my opinion. It's interesting that so few movies endeavor to tackle such a pervasive topic as spectral neurology This movie does an adequate job of integrating this polarizing topic in a typical Hollywood manner.
The cast is quite good. Lithgow and Kendrick are as strong, as expected. While Afleck can be hit or miss, I believe he is on target here.
In typical "dumb it down manner", the twist is very apparent. However, it does not materially diminish from the overall body of work. It's a novel enough idea and executed well enough to be a franchise if done correctly.
