It's one of Ben Affleck's best performances...layered, complicated, subtle and rich throughout. I watched it a second and third time and appreciated even more how smart a script this is. Each and every character has a history motivating them.
I read some reviews reporting the film had too many storylines and flashbacks. Who are these people? This is a deeply rich story that warranted flashbacks that are clearly the reasoning behind the characters' present motives.
Brilliantly done. Beautifully shot.
