The plot and general idea for this movie is pretty smart, and this movie had a lot of quality acting to support it, however my biggest concern with this movie was its over the top complexity, and how difficult to follow it was.

I wanted to take in what was happening throughout the movie, but I kept finding myself getting lost in what was happening, as there were so many different plots taking place at the same time, and all of them given pretty much equal importance.

Each plot was well done, Ben Affleck (Christian Wolff) and Anna Kendrick (Dana Cummings) did very well with their own little plot, and J.K Simmons (Ray King) and Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Marybeth Medina) did really well with their little plots.

However, I was expecting at some point in the movie for them to merge, or for one to take precedence over the other, but it never really happened, and just kinda ended with a bunch of separate endings.

This movie had a lot of potential to me though, the individual scenes were executed amazingly, however when you put them back to back, the entirety of the movie kinda just felt like a bunch of little movies stuck together, as one scene would have nothing to do with the next.

Ben Affleck does an amazing job taking on the role of Christian Wolff, as he is the perfect guy to act like a straight-forward accountant, then all of a sudden turn into a badass killer. I really liked the action scenes with Affleck in them, they were done well and really had me intrigued.

What I would've liked to have seen a little more of, however, was the relationship between Affleck's character and Kendrick's character, as it hinted a relationship multiple times, but didn't really focus a whole lot on it throughout.

All in all, "The Accountant" had the potential to be an outstanding action movie, however its complexity had me a little confused at what it was aiming for in its overall message and plot, however still presented me with a movie I was content with.

"The Accountant" is worth watching if you're bored.
