Review of The Accountant (2016) by Solitas777 — 15 Jan 2017
This movies story was original. It's about a high functioning man with autism, who through his psyops army trained father gains military skills. Along with his gift in math, he uses his martial skills to perform audit accounting jobs for various illicit enterprises.
Ben Affleck does an excellent job of showing the quirks and difficulties of a man with autism. This movies pacing can be a bit slow in some parts, but makes up for it by developing the main character.
The draw for me are the scenes where the main character takes decisive action, and his relationship with others. He is a sympathetic and likable character, and therefore a pleasure to watch. By the end, you really want Christian to succeed, get justice for others, and rout for his social development.
