Review of The Accountant (2016) by Gakrko B — 24 Jun 2017
This makes a nice change - a quality script, qualify actors and quality direction and editing.
Affleck is superb as the autistic maths savant/killer :-) (who wants to be more) as are Kendrick and, of course, John Lithgow and J.K. Simmons (plays weird parts but he's excellent in this).
It's a solid action flick with a couple of twists (if you're really astute you might see a couple of 'em coming) but that doesn't detract from the overall quality of the movie.
It's a smart and clever film that doesn't drag and keeps you guessing and wondering all the way through.
An observation: I've no idea what the original script was like or how closely the movie followed it but the result is superb. Having not seen the writer's version, this gets an 11/10 for NOT allowing the writer to direct. I do wish studios would take note of that even though there are exceptions.
If you like action/drama/thrillers this must be in your Top 5 Go See movies.
