Review of The Accidental Tourist (1988) by Brad G — 04 Sep 2009
Roger Ebert says that this is one of the funniest serious films he has ever seenâ?¦I just found it sad. Not bad. Just sad. And sad is an emotion William Hurt seems to specialize in and Lawrence Kasden has also done a bunch of these sad flicks.
You gotta be in the mood for them and I donâ??t think I was in the mood to watch this today. Nice small turns from Bill Pullman (in his semi-pathetic state), Ed Bagley Jr (doinâ?? his odd duck weird hair thing), and Gina Davis (sheâ??s playing the kooky girl whoâ??s not that kooky).
The film definitely made me want to get a Corgi though-Loved Edward. VF.
