Review of The Accidental Husband (2008) by Ana B — 14 Mar 2011
Rom-com about Emma Lloyd, a radio host and agony aunt that is getting married to a very sensible and reliable man. One of her listeners breaks up with her fireman boyfriend and this man, in revenge, gets somebody to mess online with Emma's marriage licence. When she goes to see him to sort out the problem she gets attracted to him. But, will she choose the safe bet or the wild card?
We all know the answer, isn't it? Everything is far too predictable plus is a bit annoying to see Uma Thurman over playing her role of, technically, very balanced career woman loosing the plot as soon as the fireman gets in the picture.
We have seen it all before many many many times. Still I think with a better script this could have been an ok movie. As it is, this film fails to make an impact.
