Review of The Abyss (1989) by Jacob P — 07 Jun 2010
It's not James Cameron's best, but it's gorgeous special effects and set designs make this work of eye candy worth the watch. The story meanders along just fine with a sappy environmental message to boot but what truly carries it is the performances of Ed Harris and Michael Biehn.
Overall, a fun film to watch though compared to what's coming out these days it is inevitably a forgettable footnote in Cameron's filmography.
