This is such an improbable film. There is no reason why it should work. And yet it does. A combination of Alien, Sphere, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Ed Harris, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Michael Biehn face an alien phenomenon while trying to recover sunken nuclear missiles.
This is pre-Avatar, under water.
