Review of The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971) by Kristine O — 14 Nov 2007
A horribly disfigured man, believed dead, is killing people associated with a particular murder...killing them in the manner of the plagues of Egypt. This film borrows from other horror films, and yet movies like Seven and Zodiac seem to borrow from it in a sense.
Slightly campy and the ending a bit odd, it is Vincent Price pushing the envelope to stay fresh and entertaining.
