Ok first of all when you're critiquing a movie don't look at the script and all that shit, you have to say hm was the audience pleased with or not? Yeah your going to get some people out there that are all gun ho for the story line and how well the movie was written but what people forget right now is that the majority of people love explosions, action and comedy.
The movie could be so well written but if it doesn't involve something that humans crave then it is going to get a terrible rating. so yes you could say people are dumbing movies down but in my opinion to be a could writer and producer you have to know what the people want.
