The film was definitely better then I thought, but I think the film was made itself overly complicated and there was a certain feeling that was lacking in the film that the original TV series had. There were many rectifications to some characters that worked for the worse and the modernization of the whole package felt odd but otherwise it was fun.
As long as you don't look into the film too much you should be okay.
