Review of The A-Team (2010) by Hari A — 25 Sep 2012
An entertaining popcorn action flick, with loads of action, decent comedy and a nice cast. Hannibal, Faceman, Rampage and Howling Mad are Iraq war veterans who are stripped off their ranks following a conspiracy. They must set things straight and earn back their lost honour. The story follows a pretty predictable path here onwards.
One thing I enjoyed in this movie were the stylish character introductions. The good cast (apart from Quinton Jackson as Rampage, who I thought was more robotic than C-3PO from Star Wars) works well, but the script writing was ridiculously bad. The comedy was good thanks to better actors, but the script was apalling to say the least.
And finally, what is up with the poster?? One of the worst poster designs for a movie, it put me off for around 2 years before I finally managed to watch the movie. I will say, I wasted my 2 hours having fun.
