(1958) The 7th Voyage of Sinbad.
ACTION/ ADVENTURE.
The first time I saw this film I was a still a child, and was quite surprised to see how well this film can still hold up after all these years since this very thin storyline is basically an excuse to showcase excellent special effects from Ray Harryhausen's combining with Bernard Herrmann's (Taxi Driver) awesome musical score! A landmark to alot of other films, just by watching this film, besides "The Hidden Fortress" this film obviously has some influences to Lucas's Star Wars with the prince and the princess swinging on the rope together as well as the Lord of the Rings films! Excellent blend of many mythical creatures such as Gorgon and Cyclops with the storyline- entertaining throughout! The voice-over dialogue was years before Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Western trilogy!
Must.
4/4.
