Review of The '60s (1999) by Alanna N — 24 Mar 2004
I just recently wrote a full length review for "The 60's", and to be blunt, I'm too lazy to write one again. :) I'll just give a quick overview:
Rating: N/A (TV movie).
Starring: Josh Hamiltion, Jerry O'Connell, Julia Stiles.
This "movie", first a TV miniseris, begins with a typical family trying to make it in the 60's. Three children, Mike, Kat, and Josh, are living at home with their parents. Kat is only 16, an average teenager. Mike is a straight A student of whom his parents are very proud of. Josh is a senior still unsure of what is to happen in his life. Through time, we meet another family dealing with their own problems. This family is black- and struggling for their rights. We watch each family evolve in different ways. You face war, racism, free love, young mothers, family splitting, and many more hardships. You will relive all of the feelings and joy, hardship and trails that the '60s brought on. There is no denying that this movie covers much of what made the '60s an interesting and unique era.

Passion of Christ: 9.5 - More for those of the Christian religion, this is still a movie to touch all, about a man, Jesus Christ, who sacrificed everything to stand up for what he believes..

Dawn of the Dead (2004): 8.5 - Not so much horrific as a wonderfully done black comedy, this movie holds it's own place in the Dead seris. For me, it was much better than the origional..

All I Want: 5 - While not the best I have seen, this movie is still worth checking out on a lazy day. While it was very odd, All I Want still managed to keep me from falling asleep..
