Review of The 4th Floor (1999) by Helga H — 15 Mar 2012
William Hurt is supposed to be this ageing popular weatherman but Hurt manages to convey a sinister persona beneath. William Hurt is a great actor in a really bad movie. I've never been a fan Juliette day Lewis she tends to over act & there's something awkward about her.
The story was bearably tolerable until the last third when as quite often seems to happen the writers didn't seem to know how to end the movie. So it's wrapped up too quickly with no real explanation.
We're handed quick visual clues & that's it.....the End. Very cheap, as if the writers couldn't be bothered wrapping it up properly or they'd had enough. So you get this overly long & drawn out beginning, no middle, & then its an unfinished ending.
So I wondered why I'd wasted my time.
