What would have been a decent comedy in the first place, is made a classic by Steve Carell's hilariously endearing performance. And let's not forget about all the others, particularly Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Jane Lynch, and director Judd Apatow who creates a masterful gross out comedy with a heart.
