Apatow proves himself once again that he is Top Dog when it comes to creating sick gross out film comedy films, absolute top director/writer/producer. 40 year old virgin is gross, sick, funny, dry and very well written, combining all out comedy with a dash of love that remains funny all the way to the end. Must watch this if your a fan of liar liar, Superbad etc or just want an hour and half of great laughs. Ending proves how warped Apatow really is.
Awarded this 4 stars due to the pace of the relationship parts of the film but in no way do they rob the film of its comedy.
