Review of The 39 Steps (1935) by Tapani M — 03 Dec 2007
Very good and funny dialogue. Situations were funny. Plot isn't very complicated, but that's usual in a chase movie. Dramatic scenes were flat and "undramatic" which is typical to 30's films.
Good example is the scene where woman dies when she is stabbed. Man just wakes up and is almost like nothing has happened. Whole scene is shot in a wide overview.
