Review of The 39 Steps (1935) by Gary S — 01 Mar 2009
Although it did not follow the original novel as closely as some later remakes this is still my favourite film version. Felt sorry for the crofters wife in that she helped Hannay (and ultimately national security) and all she got in return was a wack off her horrible husband (Private Fraser out of "Dad's Army").
Good film.
