Review of The 300 Spartans (1962) by William R — 11 Jul 2008
I greatly prefer this version over 300 for a number of reasons, but the following 3 reasons are the most important: a) I have a special affinity for mid-century sword-and-sandal epics; b) this one is more historically accurate, which gets a lot of brownie points in my book; and c) I saw this version first and I tend to prefer whichever version of anything I encounter first.
