Review of The 15:17 to Paris (2018) by Robert P — 10 Feb 2018
You will either love it or hate it for exactly the same reasons. If you're expecting an action film you'll be disappointed. It's more of a drama with action in it. The main character is definitely Spencer.
It is about the making of a person that would be brave enough to face down a gun pointed right at him and have the guts to gamble getting to him before it went off. Every slow scene has a point that many overlook waiting for the action from war games in the woods, the accidental warning of a shooter in the building, especially all the waffling about whether to go to Paris or not to failing out of his original career that lead him to the training to save the guy's life who was shot.
It's not the Hollywood you're used to including the acting that is so natural during some parts that it feels like it isn't scripted at all. Judging by the other reviews, there's no middle ground.
You hate it or you love it.
