Review of The 15:17 to Paris (2018) by Gary G — 10 Feb 2018
While not a great movie, it is rather an amazing one and well-worth seeing. I love movies made about true stories in general, and this one has the added bonus of being made with the key people in the lead roles.
However, it does not follow a movie narrative of an action movie, so it will naturally disappoint those looking for action. Instead it is more of an exploration of character, but what is really interesting is that what is on display is mostly the heroes' weaknesses.
As such, this movie makes a rather remarkable, true statement: that ordinary, flawed people can become heroes by choosing to act. Unfortunately, that kind of message will be lost on a lot of people.
