Review of The 15:17 to Paris (2018) by J M — 18 Feb 2018
Give these guys a break! They're not professional actors. I say kudos to Clint Eastwood for making a movie with the ones that lived it. I thought it was pretty neat, and probably one of the most accurate "true" stories you'll see.
.. as Hollywood usually turns a true story into tall tale. I think Spencer Stone might have some potential as an actor. None of them were as bad as Dwayne Johnson was in his first movie!! And he's improved DRAMATICALLY.
The actual 15:17 to Paris was a very short part of the movie. I did enjoy looking back upon these guys childhood, etc,. but more depth of the events that took place on the train would have been better.
I guess in all reality... what happened on the train, was in fact shown in it's entirety. As these guys took that killer out in a flash!!! Well, Stone did. The other two took a bit to help their friend! Stone is the one who put his life on the line.
If he didn't act, I wonder if the other two would have? It took Stones bravery to be the guy who stood in the face of terrorism. I say kudos on this movie. Don't always listen to the critics. Most of the time they are wrong on what's good or bad.
Give this movie a shot. I think overall you'll like it.
