Review of The 13th Warrior (1999) by Mark L — 29 Jun 2009
Sometimes you just can't explain the attraction to the film in question. It just has great things going for it. For instance: Antonio Banderas turns in an excellent performance, the cinematography is beautiful at times, the music is top-notch thanks to composer Jerry Goldsmith.
The rest of the cast are extremely likable and Omar Sharif even lends his talents. The sum of the parts equal a good film. I particularly enjoy the scene in which Antonio is listening to their language and learning it as his own.
A definite recommend.
