A very dark film visually, it's still enjoyable with a few years in between viewings. A tighter story and a little more character development would have made it a 3.5 or even a 4-star film. It hints of a grander scale, of a deeper story and wider meanings than the screen presents, which is a shame as there is a lot of potential.
