Review of The 13th Warrior (1999) by Andreas O — 28 Feb 2011

Fairly silly and forgettable, but not entirely unwatchable. A generally underrated movie based on the Beowulf epos, with some interesting ideas and solutions - and some less interesting ones. Could have been a lot better, for sure, but I've seen Banderas in worse.

And for me, with my interest in old english and old scandinavian, just listening to the dialogue in the first part of the film is great.
