Review of The 11th Hour (2007) by Jake E — 28 Sep 2007
Very disappointed. The trailer made the same point in five minutes and sold me. The movie was too much talking heads, too unfocused, didn't even sell the case for the stuff most people know these days.
It felt like Leo has put together a really really good student project interviewing a bunch of people and stringing together a point. But the endless parade of people talking at you, made it impossible to know which points & ideas and which facts & stats were important. So the whole thing just comes at you and you get bored.
By the time the movie got to the cool things people are doing already... the whole hope section that I liked so much from the trailer... I could no longer listen to the talking heads. I couldn't help but to day dream and tune them out, I was so sick of them.
Trailer: Five Stars!
Film: One Star.
