The film was very good. It isn't just another film about global warming, it isn't about Leonardo DiCaprio trying to pull an Al Gore move. There are some similar facts presented in this film that were discussed in An Inconvenient Truth but this film.

..(read more) looked at things from a broader angle. It puts into perspective all of life that has existed on earth, how many species have come and gone in the history of the planet and how our species, human beings, have become disconnected from nature and the planet we live on.

The film takes a different approach to things and is trying to be a wake up call to humans that if we don't change our habits, our thinking, our design of the world, our economy, than we ourselves, our race will become extinct.

Our actions are causing the climates, eco-systems and biospheres to change to a state in which human life cannot survive and we are taking thousands of other species with us. The earth is not going anywhere, life will survive in some form or another and one day it will replenish itself to a balanced state as it has been before.

The human population has grown to a point where it cannot live in a balance with earth and with other species. The human mind is ultimately what has caused the situations that we are in and at the same time it is the human mind that can begin to solve the problems.

The one thing that makes us so unique, so capable of marvelous things is also the thing that will ultimately cause our extinction unless we change the way think. Things have to change at the leadership levels, the governments have to take control.

Individuals are doing their part and the leaders need to understand that. The United States economy needs to shift from the growth is the ultimate goal mentality and needs to stop being controlled by large oil companies like ExxonMobile, then we will see some real change, then maybe other countries will follow, then maybe there will be some hope and maybe the human species can survive.

Get over your political differences and go see this film. You owe to yourself as a member of the human race to be a part of this.
