Review of The 11th Hour (2007) by Allie B — 12 Sep 2007
It's one of those movies that if you're already interested in watching it, then you're already familiar with the message.I loved the movie because what they say has a lot of impact and sense behind it. It's none of this "Well, Global Warming may or may not exist," it already exists as far as the scientific community is concerned... but here's how to deal with it.
If nothing more, you should watch this to re-evaluate your perspective on life and what really drives you and motivates you. Sure it sounds preachy at times, and there is a slight political agenda (not the kind that you'd think)... but this isn't a left-wing conspiracy of "OMGOMGOMG we're going to die because of Bush." In fact, it makes no real assumptions on the current administration and tries to focus more on our own attitude towards life and the complexity to which we have taken it. Inside there is a very genuine message; look at your life and the lasting effect that your stay on earth will have on the future.
I hope that people try to at least watch this movie with an open mind and acknowledge that we are not an isolated species.
