Review of The 11th Hour (2007) by Lindsay A — 16 Apr 2008
Does a good job of dragging your emotions in one direction or the other--starting with horror and despair at the scope of the ecological crisis and our apparent inability to do anything about it, and then cautious optimism at possibilities for technological fixes.
Some great stats like "Americans spend more on their lawn care each year than India collects in federal taxes." Not as coherent as /An Inconvenient Truth/ but effective at making you aware of the problems and feel as if you/people have to do something, even if it's not clear what.
