A faithful adaptation of the amusing book shows that what worked well on your imagination suddenly becomes a tad bizarre on film. The scenes unfolded just as I had imagined, but the characters seemed to lack a certain spark.
The historical scenes felt rather silly, which wasn't how I imagined. Overall an ok film with multiple languages used (always good).
