Review of That's My Boy (1951) by Cory C — 18 Feb 2013
Adam Sandler returns to what made him a star in the first place...back to the comedy roots we all love him for, only this time...the comedy is a lot more trashier than ever!
I will say that if you enjoyed his early work, you will love this movie. This film just reminds me more of his work on his early albums than the movies though.
The characters blend well together, as every Sandler film. I really thought the story was cheesy though, but as I engaged more into the film, and the more things were going the way they were, that didn't matter. This Sandler flick was great...it's been a long time since I laughed this hard from his movies. Only if you enjoy the really corny, dirty, nasty Adam Sandler work is the only reason you will enjoy this movie as much as I did!
