The actors were young and fresh and hip. But the story was boring. Was this a story worth telling? No. We've heard it all before. The trials and tribulations of teenage success. The angsty relationships.
The identity issues. There's nothing much different here. I loved the Wonder's single, which also happens to be the name of the movie. But after hearing if 5 million times throughout the film, I wanted to poke myself in the eyes with a fork.
