Review of That Hamilton Woman (1941) by Avital G — 06 May 2018
Quite a story! I've heard about her personality, importance and disappearance from history, but it was brief, and now want to know all about her. The way the film portrays the great, free England that only wants to liberate people all over the world seems ridiculous from our recent point of view, but I believe it's loyal to the way English people thought back then.
The same goes for the tragedy of aging for women...But the story is interesting. The acting, too, is old-aged but appropriate within the context.
