I am sure that this film, like any other film, plays fast and loose with historical facts. but what does it matter? vivien leigh shows so many of her strengths and capabilities as emma hamilton and olivier is hot as hell even with one arm and a missing eye! their love is a palpable thing and it lends much to the romantic aura of this film.
